Role Purpose

The Marketing Manager will serve as the central marketing lead across Ramco Group and its companies, responsible for developing and executing integrated, results-driven marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, drive customer engagement, and support revenue growth.

Reporting to the Executive Office, the role holder will act as both a strategic partner and execution owner, ensuring that all marketing initiatives are aligned to the Group's business objectives and long-term growth ambitions.

This role offers the opportunity to build and own the end-to-end marketing function, address existing gaps, and position marketing as a key driver of commercial success across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies aligned to the Group's strategic priorities and growth objectives.
  • Translate business goals into actionable marketing plans across multiple companies and business units.
  • Prepare annual and quarterly marketing plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and KPIs.

2. Brand Management & Visibility

  • Drive brand positioning and ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all Group companies.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance visibility, reputation, and market presence of Ramco Group.
  • Develop and oversee brand assets including digital content, marketing collateral, signage, and campaigns.

3. Campaign Execution & Digital Marketing

  • Lead the planning and execution of multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, events, experiential).
  • Manage the Group's digital presence including websites, social media, and online platforms.
  • Ensure consistent, engaging, and high-quality content aligned to business and brand objectives.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

  • Act as an internal marketing consultant to business units and leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with CEOs and functional heads to align marketing initiatives with commercial priorities.
  • Build and manage partnerships with external agencies, vendors, and stakeholders.

5. Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor and evaluate marketing performance using data-driven insights.
  • Prepare regular reports for the Executive Office highlighting impact, performance, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.

6. Project & Operations Management

  • Manage multiple marketing projects across companies, ensuring timely delivery and quality execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver integrated outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain structured marketing processes and workflows.

7. Budget & Resource Management

  • Develop and manage marketing budgets aligned with Group priorities.
  • Ensure cost-effective allocation of resources and track return on investment (ROI) for marketing activities.

Relevant Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Qualification in Marketing, Communication and other business-related field from a recognized institution.
  • Membership in the Marketing Society of Kenya will be an added advantage.
  • CIM certification will be an added advantage.
  • Post-graduate or advanced qualification in Marketing or another business-related field will be a plus.

  • Delivery and communication of the Ramco Group Vision, Mission and Core Values.
  • Positioning the Marketing function as a contributor to the Groups' strategic goals
  • Developing the entire end-to-end strategy for Ramco Group Ltd and its constituent companies.
  • Developing and implementing the Digital Marketing roadmap for the Group and its constituent companies.
  • Cost-effective management of financial resources and budgeting.
  • Effective organization and structuring of the Marketing Function in the Group in collaboration with company CEO's.
  • Utilization of marketing and branding techniques to drive revenue through the B2B and B2C channels.
